Donuts!

Regale/Fallfest1.jpgWe had a great time at the Lakeside Fall Fest last weekend. Our loyal fan Roger Sherman bought the band apple cider donuts to play "The Teacher" and "Colors" They were delicious and one of the best tips we have ever gotten!!  We also introduced Rick Van Dyne on guitar at this show. He did a great job! The band will be donating it's time to support Breast Cancer Research at Java Planet in Woodstock on October 29th. Come support a great cause, have some excellent coffee and hang out with the band for the afternoon. Stay tuned for news on an upcoming series we are kicking off at Oddfellows in Woodstock on November 11th and there may even be a holiday show in the works! I am heading back to Nashville in November to do some songwriting with a new friend I met on my last trip. I plan to attend a Nashville Songwriters Association pitch to publisher night while I am there and hopefully catch some great music and meet some more new people. I am looking forward to all that the future brings. Music is my joy and it is such a gift to be able to share it and make it my life every day. Blessings to you all, Cassandra

What the fans are saying:

"Cassandra and the Gravel Road Band were awesome! Their music was fantastic, they interacted with the audience and put on a great show. Probably the best thing about the band though was they were so easy to work with and were so down to earth. I can't wait to bring them back next year!" Streetfest July 9, 2011, Champaign, IL - Tony Oligney-Estill, Special Events Manager-Champaign Park District

“It reminds me very much of the likes of Shaun Colvin or even Mary Chapin Carpenter (both of whom I love). The musicianship is top-drawer, great melodies, engaging and emotional lyrics. There's little more to say except if there is any justice in the world the band would be well known" Rich Wilson ~ UK based freelance rock writer for publications like Classic Rock Magazine

“From the moment I put “Here I am” on, I was taken on a journey…. All the emotional elements were revealed…Cassandra’s powerful, versatile vocals were inspiring. The first song touched me when the chorus came on. Wow! It’s really exciting listening to this CD. Cassandra’s vocals, lyrics songwriting and the production are all right there. Each song a story, a bit of her life in each verse. Peter Calo ~ New York Guitarist, Composer, Producer, best known for his work with Carly Simon

CASSANDRA'S musical style builds on the traditions of Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow and Sarah Mclachlan, but is uniquely her own. Inspired by personal experiences and a true desire to help others through music, her original songs focus on love, loss, self-reflection, healing and dreams. Cassandra's high energy performances and soaring vocals connect to the audience straight from the heart. Cassandra is available to perform solo, as a small acoustic group or with her band- Cassandra and the Gravel Road Band.
